Sri Lanka is a famous surfing destination that caters to all experience levels. It is blessed with waves all year round, and has a good selection of point breaks and beaches. There are loads of beginner spots, as well as plenty of options for more experienced surf travelers. The best surf season at the on the southwest (hikkaduwa ) is from November to march and then on the east coast (arugam bay) from may to september. Aluthgama, Arugambay, Hikkaduwa, Potuvil, Unawatuna, and Thalpe, are the best surfing places in Sri Lanka.
