Turtle Watching

Sea turtles are wandering the ocean for about 190 million years. Today eight species of these ancient reptiles remaining. Five out of seven species of marine turtles come ashore to nest in Sri Lanka. You can get the amazing experience by touching the turtles, feeding them and taking snaps with them. Sri Lanka beaches are reckoned as a favorable breeding spot of sea turtles, especially Bentota, Induruwa, Kosgoda, Ahungalle, Unawatuna and Balapitiya, where turtles lay down their eggs on the sandy beaches before going back to sea.
