Day 01, 02 & 03

One of our Lasa Tour representative pick up you from the hotel after breakfast.  According to schedule beach stay in southern. Overnight stay at one of the south beach. Our tour planners, guides and chauffeurs will make every effort to see that you are comfortable.

South Beach Stay

There are lot of tropical beaches in South and Activities at the beach include surfing, scuba diving and whale watching. The palm groves, rocky outcrops on the beach and have a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Day 04

Next day morning transfer to Sigiriya. On the way, you will visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Then proceed to Sigiriya and climb sigiriya Rock Fortress in the evening. Stay overnight at Sigiriya.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is one of the best place for an up close and personal experience with the world’s largest land mammals. It established in 1975 as place for shelter and care the wounded elephants and abandoned baby elephants found in jungle. It is currently home to a herd of over 90 elephants.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress

The rock fortress of Sigiriya, considered as the eighth wonder of the ancient world, was built by king Kassapa in the 5th century A.D and was royal citadel for more than one year. It is a complex of buildings, part-royal palace, and part fortified town, and water gardens on par with the best in the ancient world, constitute a magnificent and unique architectural feat of the ancient Sinhalese. Sigiriya was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1982.

Day 05

Next day morning, leave to Anuradhapura, the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Explore the ruin city Anuradhapura and get back to hotel at Sigiriya in the evening. Stay overnight in Sigiriya.

Anuradhapura

One of the most significant and sacred cities that belong to the ancient world, Anuradhapura was the first capital of Sri Lanka. Hosting UNESCO world heritage sites this city is the core of Buddhism and its people due to its grandeur history and the vast array of Buddhist monuments that dates back to more than 2000 years. The extensive ancient ruins of Anuradhapura cover 40sqkm: you will find three colossal tanks, enormous, towering dagobas, the remains of a palace, Isurumuniya Vihara rock temple and Royal Pleasure Gardens. The largest brick monuments of the world named, Jethavanaya and Abhayagiriya were situated in this ruin city.

Day 06

Early morning you will leave to visit the ancient city Polonnaruwa. In the evening you will have a Wildlife safari at Minneriya National Park. Overnight Stay in Sigiriya.

Polonnaruwa        

The city of Polonnaruwa, which is the second ancient capital where securely thousands of years history. There are a lot of ancient ruins kept in this place with secure. In the 12th c. AD, the medival capital of Polonnaruwa was one of the great urban centers in South Asia. Today, the well preserved ruins give you the chance to experience the grandeur of this period and marvel at the artistry of the island’s early craftsmen.

Minneriya National Park

Located between Habarana and Polonnaruwa, the 8890 hectares of Minneriya National Park is an ideal eco-tourism location in Sri Lanka. The central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya Tank (built in 3rd century AD by King Mahasena). Being part of the elephant corridor which joins up with “Kaudulla” and “Wasgamuwa”, are sure to sight elephants. During the months of August/September one of the most awesome wildlife spectacles ‘The Gathering’, ranked sixth in the Lonely Planet’s ten greatest wildlife spectacles take place.

Day 07

After breakfast, leave to Kandy. En route to visit Dambulla Cave Temple, that is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex of Sri Lanka. Then reach to sacred city Kandy. Visit Temple of the Tooth Relic and evening enjoy a cultural dance of Kandyans. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Dambulla Cave Temple

Dambulla is a heritage site of the Cultural Triangle of Sri Lanka. The significant heritage here is the five caves of living rock with murals and sculptures. The pre-Brahmi inscriptions belonging to the third century BC and the murals of the eighteenth century reflect human activities over a long period. In 1991, this was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO.

Temple of Tooth Relic

The Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a major attraction in Kandy city. It was built within the royal palace complex which houses the tooth relic of the Buddha, a tooth, which is venerated by Buddhists. The relic has played an important role in the local politics since ancient times. Kandy was the capital of the Sinhalese Kings from 1592 to 1815, fortified by the terrain of the mountains and the difficult approach. The city is a world heritage site declared by UNESCO, in part due to the temple.

Cultural Show

Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. The Kandy Dance cultural show is one of the most famous evening events in this city of heritage Kandy. This spontaneous event upheld the Sri Lankan Folk-lore dance which prevailed from the history. It shows the uniqueness of the Sri Lankan dance performances and the drummers who are very unique to Sri Lanka. As the final event in the Cultural show, walking on fire is done with the everlasting faith towards the god.

Day 08

After breakfast leave for breathtaking town of Nuwara Eliya. On the way you can visit tea plantations and beautiful waterfalls.

Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya, known as the garden city of Asia for its hills, valleys and waterfalls, is 6,182 feet above sea level and is situated at the foot of Mount Pidurutalagala, Sri Lanka’s highest peak. Set in the heart of tea-country, this beautiful town is where the British succeeded in creating an English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, and the famous golf course and beautiful parks given the place an air of real nostalgia.

Day 09 & 10

After breakfast leave for Southern of Unawatuna Beach. On the way you can visit Ella. End of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel or Colombo International Airport for departure.

Unawatuna Beach

This beach near Galle is one of most famous in Sri Lanka. Unawatuna is perhaps the liveliest beach resort in Sri Lanka. The beach is a beautifully stretched area of land covered with sand that can raise the standards of any holidays with its exotic view and extraordinary environment. This natural swimming pool is almost preferred by scuba divers. Usually water is clean, calm and warm.
