Reserve is bordering three districts of the island, namely Galle, Matara and Ratnapura districts. It has an amazing bio diversity. The Sinharaja Rainforest covers 7,648 hectares. Sinharaja is also a Man and Biosphere Forest Reserve, and a large proportion of the flora in this forest is endemic to the country. Some species are endemic to the Sinharaja Forest itself.
