Ella is the perfect place to go to if one wants to refresh the brain. It is a gorgeous, intimate town with stunning countryside and views. The views through Ella Gap are stunning, and on a clear night you can even spy the subtle glow of the Great Basses lighthouse on Sri Lanka’s south coast. From Ella, the trail goes along the mountain until you can see the bridge from the side of the hill. Another way to get there is to take the train to Demodara and walk back along the train tracks.
